An Easy and Delicious Air Fryer Corn on the Cob Recipe Everyone Will Love

Life update: I’ve jumped on the air fryer corn on the cob bandwagon! And I’m obsessed! There’s truly nothing quite like biting into a juicy, perfectly cooked corn on the cob. Whether it’s for a family BBQ or as a side for a simple weeknight meal for the fam, using the air fryer to cook your corn on the cob is a no fail method that you’ll use for years down the road! It’s easy, straightforward, and guarantees deliciousness every single time!

In full disclosure, I was never the kind of mama who made corn on the cob in boiling water – no thanks! Too tedious! But I have always loved corn on the cob in the oven. One thing that I do when I make corn on the cob in the oven is I wrap each cob in tin foil. It’s not difficult, though when I make it in the air fryer, I’ve found that I can skip that step, which makes it even faster to get on the table. Not to mention, air fryer corn on the cob cooks corn in about half the time as the oven method, leaving you with a very similar taste and texture. Let’s just say that air fryer corn on the cob is the way – trust me on this one!!

Before I share the super simple recipe to this juicy air fryer corn on the cob, allow me to point out some tips before you have at it!

Tips for the Best Air Fryer Corn on the Cob:

Choose Fresh Corn: For the best results, use the freshest corn available. Look for ears with bright green husks and moist, golden silk. However, when I’m in a pitch, I like to buy the pre-packaged corn on the cob sans the husks. There is nothing wrong with that either and it will still be delicious. Promise!

Customize Your Seasoning: While garlic powder is a classic choice and mine and my family’s personal favorite corn on the cob seasoning, you can experiment with other seasonings if you feel so inclined. Paprika or fresh herbs would elicit a different flavor profile that you might just love.

Adjust Cooking Time: Depending on the size of your corn and the power of your air fryer, you might need to adjust the cooking time slightly. Check for doneness by carefully piercing a kernel with a fork – it should be tender!

  • air fryer


  • fresh corn on the cob you can decide how many you want to prepare
  • 1/2 stick of butter, salted.
  • 4-6 shakes garlic powder I've used a lot of brands and the one by McCormick is definitely our fave!
  • 1-2 tbsps grapeseed oil You can totally use another oil instead but I love grapeseed because it can be cooked with high heat and it doesn't have taste.


  • Preheat air fryer to 380 degrees.
  • Shuck your ears of corn, removing the husks completely.
  • Take your stick of butter and rub the end of it all over each corn cob, covering completely.
  • Sprinkle your garlic powder directly onto each buttered cob – cover it completely.
  • Then sprinkle the oil onto the cobs and rub it into the cobs with your hands!
  • Put the cobs directly into the air fryer and cook for 20(ish) minutes – flipping once half-way through!
