I’m half-way through the FASTer Way to Fat Loss {FWTFL} program and let me tell you, I am LOVING it. For literally a million and a half reasons but today I’m going to share 5 of those reasons with you! As well as a delicious 4-ingredient fat bomb recipe that’s guaranteed to become your new favorite.

But first, if you aren’t familiar with FWTFL, it’s a cutting-edge way to live a healthier life, lose weight FAST, and feel better about yourself! There’s absolutely no gimmicks, quick weight-loss techniques, or pills. {Side note: that was a big draw for me} In a nutshell, FWTFL combines being mindful about what you’re putting in your body with intermittent fasting and strategic daily physical exercise. It’s not about how much you eat in a day, it’s about the actual foods that you’re eating. More whole foods, less {not to be confused with NO} processed foods! And yes, you have to put in the work, but it’s very adaptable to any lifestyle especially if you’re a mom.

Okay, so let’s dig in to why I believe it’s working for me!

1. Intermittent Fasting is Not Hard If You Do It Right

I had heard of intermittent fasting before but didn’t know much about it. Let’s just say that everything that I thought it was was SO wrong, LOL. Yes, I knew the basis of it was that people eat for a certain amount of hours and fast for a certain amount of hours, but that was the extent of it. What I didn’t realize was that when you’re eating, you’re eating a very substantial amount, so you’re really not all that hungry during your fasting window.

One aspect of the FWTFL program is that you need to track your macros, which are your carbs, fat, and protein. You do this via the MyFitnessPal app and it takes two seconds to input your meals. Anyways, you need to eat a certain amount of each of your macros during your eating window {everyone’s macro amounts are different based on beginning weight + activity level}.

You’re not only supposed to but it is highly suggested that you eat ALL of your macros. My typical eating window is 12pm to 8pm {occasionally I change it up to 11am-7am or 1pm-9pm depending on what’s happening in the day}, and because I’m aiming to eat ALL of my macros, I’m legit full by the start of my fast and not hungry at all in the morning. If I am hungry, than I’ll have coffee with a splash of almond milk OR my new go-to is herbal tea!! Both allow me to feel satisfied at the tail end of my fasting window!

With that, there’s a whole science to why intermittent fasting is good for you and why it’s such a big part of the program, but that’s an entirely different post. For now, I just want to make the point that it’s NOT HARD for me… because I do it the right way!!! I seriously can see myself doing this forever! Plus, it stops me from opening up the fridge at night and eating just to eat. Raise your hand if you do that too?!?! It’s a tough habit to break!!!

2. The Program Is Based On Progress Over Perfection

Okay, so real talk: one of the pillars to this program is WORKING OUT. It’s actually a very big component to it. But, you guys, I haven’t worked out once. At least not yet. I wanted to master the eating portion of the program first. I know myself, and I know that I have to do one thing at a time. 3 weeks in, and I finally feel like I’m a pro at macros, inputting my foods in the app, and at intermittent fasting. When I’m ready, I will start working out! {I think sooner than later!!!}

But guess what? My coach, {we’ll talk more about this aspect of the program below} has never ONCE told me I need to start working out. She’s applauded my WINS. And reminds me, as well everyone who she’s coaching, to focus on PROGRESS over perfection. I love this mentality. Mind over matter… GENIUS.

3. FWTFL Encourages You NOT to Weigh Yourself!

FWTFL does not rely on the scale. In fact, they tell you NOT to step on it at all! Prior to starting, I did weigh myself as well as took all my body measurements. After completing the program, I will do that again! However, they say that some people might not lose weight at all, and that’s okay because they will definitely lose measurements + gain a whole vat of confidence. Typically, I’m on the scale daily when I’m watching myself, but not this time. It feels different not weighing myself. No more caring about a number, just focusing on what I’m doing right and how I feel. It’s pretty awesome. I’m a fan!

4. I Feel Like a Different Person After Only 3 Weeks

To be honest, I wasn’t planning on writing a post about my FWTFL journey until after I completed my first round BUT then I started feeling so much better about myself, my body, and my health, and decided that I had to! It’s crazy that after 3 weeks, so much can change. Not only do my clothes feel better on, they LOOK better on. Not only am I drinking more water, but I am making more dinners – and meals in general – at home! Not only am I happier in my own skin, but my husband says I’m nicer too! {Lol that’s true, and I take it as a compliment!} Basically, things are good. And I’m very thankful that I decided to take the FWTFL plunge in 2020.

5. My Coach Is a True Cheerleader + Is So Knowledgable

If you watched my instagram stories a few weeks ago where I explained my reasoning for starting, you also know that I was introduced to this program by my friend Whitney. I call her a friend now, but I when I met her in April, she was just a random girl sitting next to me at a fancy wedding in Italy! Ha. Both of our husbands were in the wedding and the seating arrangements had us sitting right next to one another. Lucky me!

Immediately we connected and hit it off! Towards the end of dinner, she told me that she was a coach for FWTFL. I didn’t even know what it was! After 8 months of following her on Instagram, I DMed her on January 1st and told her I wanted to start! The rest is history! She’s the best and if you’re thinking of trying this out, make sure Whitney is your girl. The bulk of the coaching takes place via a private Facebook group, and she also emails you weekly. Her knowledge of the program has literally blown my mind since I started.

Akkk, this just in as I was looking at Facebook!!! I just found out that Whitney has a new round of the FASTer Way open right now for registration. You’ll start with her on February 3rd!! I say put the excuses behind and just GO for it. FWTFL is life changing and there’s no better time to start than now!! You can register HERE! {it’s an affiliate link that they gave me just because I’m a blogger – but in no way is this post sponsored; I am writing it solely because I want to be honest with you about my health! Just wanted to clear the air with that!!}

There ya go!!!!! My 5 reasons for loving this program! Now, for the fat bombs!! They’re coconut peanut butter based and delicious!

This recipe is really easyyyyyy! And inspired by another FWTFL coach, Nicki. I saw her make them on her stories and changed up her recipe just a little to better work for me. Trust me when I say, they are SO good and perfect for your low carb, high fat, Monday and Tuesdays. And I like to eat them as my last food for the day because it leaves you with that chocolatey taste in your mouth… YUM.
