It’s so funny to me that people are interested in my morning makeup routine because I don’t do much and it LITERALLY takes me 3 minutes!! Well, I actually don’t even think it takes me 3 minutes, but for purposes of today’s blog topic, we’ll say it does =) I’ve gotten so many requests over the years for me to share this post with you and I’m not sure why it’s taken me so long!

I guess it helps that I don’t wear a ton of makeup but what I do use is impactful to making me feel like a normal human and not like a tired AF boy mom! LOL. What’s more is that even though my morning makeup routine is so super quick, I always leave the house feeling bright eyed and bushy tailed. Can you say best feeling ever?! I guess this a post worthy of sharing with you, after all! 

Step 1 – LOTION

This is not your average lotion! I first use one pump of Erno Laszlo Firmarine Lift Essence Lotion and rub it in well all over my face and neck. My UBsession with it is real and I actually think of it as my skin’s secret weapon. {obviously because it is!!!!!} I spoke about my love for it in this post HERE if you want to read more about it! 

Step 2 – FOUNDATION

Next, I apply my foundation. Of course everyone applies foundation differently, but after using a beauty blender for years and years, I randomly started using my fingers and have decided that it makes my skin look SO much more even. So yeah, just my personal preference but that’s what I do! My foundation of choice at the moment: Benefit Cosmetics Benefit Hello Happy Soft Blur Foundation. LOVE IT.

Step 3 – CONCEALER

Once my foundation is on, I MIGHT decide to apply Charlotte Tilbury’s The Retoucher, which is basically the most perfect concealer that ever was, and I’ve tried a lot! It truly disguise’s fine lines and visible pores, plus it plumps and smoothes my skin and hides all imperfections flawlessly! 

Step 4 – BRONZER

After concealer, comes bronzer! My favorite quick wake-me-up fix! Currently I’m using Nars Bronzing Powder and find it to be non-greasy and long lasting. Meaning I apply in the morning and hours later will look at my face and still feel like I have color to it! HUGE SELL!!! I use a large brush, swipe it atop the powder bronzer and then onto my face. Horizontal on the forehead, horizontal on the chin, curved down from my forehead to my chin on the right side of my face and then repeat that on the left side. A quick swipe on my t-zone and you guessed it: bronzer complete! 

Step 5 – LUMINIZING POWDER

I legit just started this next step but it’s one I think I’ll be doing for the long haul. Back story: I oddly found this Honest Beauty Luminizing Glow Powder in a random drawer in my house, unopened. No pun intended but HONESTLY, I think it was a freebie that came in my kids Honest brand diaper bundle {which by the way, we are HUGE fans of!}. I won’t get into the fact that it was probably from years ago but anyways! I starting applying 1 swipe on each cheek {with my same bronzer brush} and it gives me the most beautiful subtle shimmer that truly makes a difference!

Step 6 – BLUSH

Blush stick time! 2 pats on each cheek while smiling {there’s an awesome tip for ya!}, rub it in with my fingers going up from my cheek bone to my ears and HELLO SUNSHINE!!! I use Wander Beauty-on-the-Glow Blush and Illimunator. It works double duty as one side of it has an illuminator but for my simple morning routine, just the blush side is where it’s at!

Step 7 – EYE CONCEALER

Time for under-eye concealer, which I never used until a few years ago when I realized the wonders that it can actually do for your skin and overall face glow!! I am OBSESSED with Charlotte Tilbury Mini Miracle Eye Wand Concealer Duo – it is a game changer and if you don’t know about it, well, I’m SO happy that I can be the one to bring it to your attention! There are two ends – the first one is hydrating eye cream that’s enriched with specially tailored under-eye agents which make the skin feel firmer and tauter. I apply that then rub it in. The second end is a lightweight ultra-brilliant light reflector that’s packed with “a million lights” aka micro-particles that brighten shadows, conceal discoloration and diffuse the appearance of under-eye hollows. I apply it and then pat it in! IT IS LIFE and I can’t go a day without it!!

Step 8 – BROW PENCIL

This next step makes my whole face, well, just prettier! That is, applying my eyebrow pencil. I AM IN LOVE with Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Mechanical Brow Pencil {remember I mentioned that I bought it at the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale via my #NSale post?! That sale is still going on, PS!!} which I apply in thin strokes to fill in any spots that look a little bare to me that morning. Some mornings I don’t feel the need to use it at all but it truly has the potential to make my face take on a whole new vibrant look!! I think it might be the most important step – when necessary – next to bronzer, baby!

Step 9 – MASCARA

Last step before lips {which typically happens in the car} is applying mascara, which I definitely don’t do every morning and only when I’m in the mood! For me, mascara is usually only in my night-time ritual of doing my makeup but lately, I find myself grabbing for it during the day sometimes too! I LOVE my mascara so much!!! It’s by It Cosmetics and it’s called Superhero Elastic Stretch Volumizing Mascara and it is a GEM. It’s the first mascara that I’ve used which doesn’t bother my sensitive eyes, it stays on all day/night long, gives my lashes incredible volume and fullness + it separates beautifully. I also love that it’s pitch black!! Seriously the best!!

Step 10 – LIPS

My lip routine is a quick one-two step. First, I apply a nudish-blush lipstick {shown on left} and then I apply Mac Lipglass in Snob {shown on right}, which is the most gorg baby pink! Unfortunately, my nude lipstick is recently discontinued and no longer available {insert cry-face emoji here} BUT the internet says that THIS one is VERY similar. And when my Mac nudie runs out, I will most likely be getting the one by Bite Beauty in Cava! No matter what, any nude-blush color lipstick under a baby pink lipgloss is the ultimate combo that would be perfection on ALL skin-tones. FACT.

And there ya go – a more vibrant me, ready to leave the house and conquer the day – in 3 minutes flat. If you were to try it, each step miiiiiight take you about 30 seconds to start but once you get good at it – like me!!!!! – I can assure you that it takes not even 2 minutes some days!!! Basically, it’s QUICK, easy, and fool-proof!!!! You absolutely should try it!!!!!
